ISU Student's Death Results in New Charges

New charges have just been filed in a case involving an Illinois State University student and a young man. The young man has been accused of a hit-and-run accident in which the victim died due to injuries. He was previously charged with leaving the scene of an injury accident, but the charges have now escalated.

The suspect is now facing accusations of leaving the scene of an accident involving a death and aggravated driving under the influence of marijuana. He is currently in jail on a $75,000 bond, but his attorney is asking that the bond be reduced. According to Attorney Johnson, the suspect needs time to prepare for his defense against the charges.

On February 13, the suspect will go to court for an arraignment and a bond hearing.
